Terms of Use
The terms governing use of MaishaThabiti, including information limits, decision tools, acceptable use and third-party services.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of MaishaThabiti. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and to understand the limits of an information and decision-support service.
1. About the service
MaishaThabiti provides structured information, evidence-informed content, search, discovery, comparison and decision-support features relating to life, work, income, education, services, providers, financial choices and other subjects relevant to users in Kenya.
2. Information is not a guarantee
MaishaThabiti aims for accuracy but does not guarantee that every item is complete, current, error-free or suitable for every user. Rules, fees, rates, availability, laws, requirements and other facts can change after publication. You are responsible for verifying consequential information before acting.
3. No professional or official relationship
Unless a page expressly states otherwise, using MaishaThabiti does not create a professional adviser-client relationship, an agency relationship or an official determination by a regulator, institution, employer, lender, provider or public body.
4. Decision tools
Decision tools may use information you provide together with structured knowledge to explain compatible options, trade-offs or next steps. Results depend on the quality and completeness of the inputs and underlying information. They are intended to support judgement, not replace it.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm other users or systems.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, interfere with availability or gain unauthorised access to accounts, data or infrastructure.
- Do not submit malicious code, spam or content that you do not have the right to submit.
- Do not misrepresent MaishaThabiti content, rankings or evidence as an official decision by another institution.
6. Intellectual property
The MaishaThabiti name, original editorial content, structured presentation, software, design and other original materials may be protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party names, documents, data and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Quotation, citation and linking do not transfer ownership.
7. External links and third-party services
MaishaThabiti may link to or embed external websites and services. Those services are controlled by third parties and may change independently. A link does not guarantee accuracy, availability, security or suitability and does not automatically imply endorsement.
8. Commercial relationships
Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate, referral or partnership arrangements may be introduced. They should be identifiable and should not purchase favourable factual conclusions. See Advertising & Commercial Relationships.
9. Availability and changes
The site, its features and its content may be changed, corrected, suspended or discontinued. MaishaThabiti may update these Terms when the service or applicable requirements change.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MaishaThabiti and its operators are not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on outdated, incomplete or incorrectly interpreted information, decisions made by third parties, or the availability and conduct of external services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Governing context
MaishaThabiti is a Kenya-focused service. These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable Kenyan law, subject to any mandatory rights or rules that apply to a particular user, transaction or service.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed through the verified contact channel published on the Contact Us page.
Legal review
These Terms are a substantive initial operating policy for the current information platform. They should be reviewed when MaishaThabiti introduces accounts, paid subscriptions, transactions, marketplace functions, regulated advisory services or other features that materially change the legal relationship with users.
