About MaishaThabiti
What MaishaThabiti is, why it exists and the principles behind its Kenya-first decision-intelligence approach.
MaishaThabiti is a Kenya-first knowledge and decision-intelligence platform built to help people discover realistic options, understand what matters and make better-informed choices.
Why MaishaThabiti exists
Important decisions are rarely difficult because information is completely absent. More often, the useful facts are scattered across government websites, institutions, providers, professional bodies, research, news, social media and personal networks. Different sources answer different parts of the question, use different terminology and change at different times.
MaishaThabiti is being built to organise that complexity into a practical system. The goal is not simply to publish more articles. It is to connect options, requirements, evidence, trade-offs and next steps so that a person can move from “What can I do?” to “What fits my situation, and what should I verify before I act?”
What you can explore
Opportunity
Business opportunities, income options, careers, professional roles and work opportunities that may be relevant in Kenya.
Capability
Skills, courses, training and qualifications that can help a person move toward an opportunity or meet a requirement.
Support
Financial products, services, programmes, benefits, institutions and providers that can enable or constrain a decision.
From information to decision intelligence
A conventional information website often stops after describing a subject. MaishaThabiti aims to go further by showing relationships between subjects, the evidence behind important claims, the date and limitations of that evidence, realistic alternatives, and the questions a user still needs to answer.
The long-term asset is therefore not a collection of webpages. It is a structured, maintainable knowledge system that can support search, comparison, discovery and decision tools across many Kenyan life decisions.
Who MaishaThabiti is for
MaishaThabiti is for people making consequential choices in Kenya: choosing a career or course, looking for work or another source of income, evaluating a business opportunity, comparing financial choices, finding a service or programme, identifying a suitable provider, or planning a major life transition. Some decisions may be personal; others may involve families, professionals, employers or institutions.
Our operating principles
- Kenya first. Context matters. Requirements, institutions, costs, regulation and available pathways should reflect the environment in which the user is actually deciding.
- Evidence before confidence. A fluent answer is not enough. Important claims should be traceable to appropriate sources or clearly labelled as interpretation or uncertainty.
- Alternatives matter. Good decision support should not force the user toward one option when realistic alternatives exist.
- Uncertainty should remain visible. Missing or conflicting information is better shown honestly than filled with invented certainty.
- The knowledge base is living. New evidence, changed rules and better sources should improve the system over time.
What MaishaThabiti is not
MaishaThabiti is not a substitute for professional advice, an official eligibility decision or personal judgement. It does not guarantee that an option will produce a particular financial, career, business or life outcome. For regulated or high-stakes matters, users should confirm current information with the responsible institution and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
The standard we are aiming for
A useful MaishaThabiti page should leave you with a clearer view of your options, stronger evidence, visible uncertainties and a practical next step—not merely more information to read.
